Generally speaking, the construction environment of bay bridges is harsh, especially in the large wind speed and unsteady wind regime, which brings unfavorable influence to the construction of steel box girder and stay cables of the Long-span Cable-stayed Bridge. Marine environment requires rapid speed in structure construction in order to combine them to an organic whole as soon as possible. However, due to the limited normal construction time, great difficulty of field construction, and not effective guarantee of safety, the construction period affected by climate may be easily prolonged. Therefore, it is quite necessary to explore the construction technique projects on the foundations, pylon, steel box girder and stay cables of the bay bridges. The South Channel Bridge of Hangzhou Bay Bridge is in the central part of Hangzhou Bay. The Bay is one of the three strongest tidal bays in the world, which is of subtropical monsoon climate. There are extremely harsh conditions of wind, wave and current. The average velocity of flood and ebb tide is 2.5m/s, and the maximum observed average velocity is 5.16m/s. The maximum tidal range is 7.6m. Typhoon and monsoon attack each year. What's more, it is frequently accompanied by strong wind of flood tide. All the above mentioned will bring great difficulty to marine construction.According to the field construction experience of the South Channel Bridge of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the thesis explores the construction technique on the foundations, pylon, steel box girder and stay cables in detail. From the perspectives of technique applicability, economy, safety and how to shorten construction period, Combined with the engineering practice of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, the thesis introduces the construction method of the South Channel Bridge of Hangzhou Bay Bridge, in order to provide valuable references for the later construction the bay bridges.
