Since the 21st century, the energy problem is becoming more important and kinds of energy-saving methods is emerging in endlessly. One of these is solid refrigeration technology, which is favored by people because of its upstanding development potential and practical performance.The paper discussed the choice of adsorption work pairs about solar solid adsorption rotation refrigeration cycle and design of laboratory system.Referred to the choice of work pairs, the paper attached active carbon fiber as the sorbent, which was bigger specific surface area, faster adsorbing velocity and stronger adsorbing capacity. By through of comparing the time of operation cycle and the magnitude of COP between ammonia, methanol and ethanol, active carbon fiber-ammonia was finally attached as the best refrigeration work pair. Compared with methanol and ethanol, ammonia had characteristics of shorter operation cycle, bigger refrigeration mass and higher COP.The paper also built the geometry and numerical model of rotary solid adsorption refrigerator and employed the large simulating software-Ansys to do the numerical simulation with 3 kinds of work pairs. In simulation, the cycle mode of refrigerating vapor adopted novel and high-efficient hot-wave-circulating-of-the-convection. The temperature distribution in mimic diagram also showed the typical character of the cycle-formation and development of temperature wave. The ones that should pointed out were that, because there were more referable influence factors in practical rotary refrigerator, the model hold the major factors and eliminated the minor factors. What had done reasonably simplified the model and convenienced the simulation.In addition, depending on the character of ammonia, the paper also designed a set of practical solar solid adsorption rotation refrigeration system. The system consisted of rotary refrigerator, solar heat-collector, circulating pump, condenser, evaporator, throttle device and some special valves. And the rotary refrigerator is the heart of the system, whose performance affected directly to the efficiency of whole system. Condenser, evaporator and throttle device need not special conformation, but when choosing the specific devices, the paper also noticed the flux characteristics of desorbed refrigerant in the cycle and did the best choice.In a word, the discuss of the paper offered important theoretical basis in optimizing design of adsorption bed, reasonably choice of work pairs and performance-enhancing of the system.
