To compensate for the lack of water resources in north China, the large water-diversion project—South-to-North Water Diversion Project, was put forward between different drainage basin. Aqueduct plays a very important part in nearly thousand canal buildings in this project We have accumulated a wealth of experience in research and application of the aqueduct structures. But because of the large water flow, huge building structure and the lack of mature experiences in body temperature crack control of concrete, large crack occurs in the early construction of the body. Concrete crack cause devastating consequences in the safety of structure and service life (especially in the north area in the extreme temperatures). Our current research focuses on the structures of aqueduct and such mass concrete dam in temperature crack control of concrete. The research on the control of tank body concrete temperature crack has just getting started, duo to the large crack appearing in the early construction.This dissertation aims to study the analysis and control of Temperature Cracks of Fangshuihe Aqueduct in the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. This thesis first briefly introduces the types of aqueduct crack, formation reasons of crack and harm on concrete structure in the second chapter. In the third chapter large-scale finite element software ANSYS is described and the temperature stress of mass concrete buildings is analyzed using ANSYS. The concrete temperature field is discussed in detail, that is according to the known initial condition and boundary conditions of heat conduction equations solving concrete temperature field, and then the concrete temperature stress. The fourth chapter establishs the canal aqueduct temperature stress three dimensional finite element computation taking the actual project as the example. The most advantageous breaking time, pouring temperature, temperature stress of concrete and reinforced concrete beam slab of temperature stress have been analyzed according the calculation results. A set of specific water temperature crack prevention measures of the aqueduct is designed in chapter 5. Prevention and control measures of concrete material basically is, adjusting mixing concrete construction technology, strengthening the concrete temperature control in construction. At last this thesis presents the summary and further research content.
