A design and simulation for chain ammunition autoloader with trace restrains is discussed in the dissertation. U-shape chain transmission schemes with orbit restriction and compensation measurements are presented to adept inner space limitation and to make sure that the chain can move smoothly in its orbit by resolving problems of instability and vibration caused by polygonal effect under heavy-load condition. Research work include that the selection of the supplying strcture, mathametics modeling, transmission scheme. To realize motion compensation and vibration reduction, the polygonal effect of chain transmission and improvement measurements have been discussed in detail. The parameter seting methods presented in simulation design can previde data information for the integer outline and scheme design. The main conclusions and solutions presented in this thesis can be summarized as follows:1. A model of U-shape chain transmission has been established according to internal space limitation.2. Analyzed the position traces of the pins and curves to be constructed. These curves are called equal distance curves relevant to centerline. Outlines of the load cabin and compensation trace can be obtained by software Matlab. Kinematics simulation has been realized by software VB.3. Completed structural design based on parameters and data communication between different softwares.4. The dynamic simulation and analysis have been discussed according to structural features that is to a given angle of the driving wheel, the position of the chain can be calculated. According to structural parameters, the whole mechanism and the dynamic simulation process can be depicted on the screen. The force conditions of the sustain points can be determined. It prevides a basis for strength designs.
