Along with the rapid development of our country's highway traffic, the highway maintenance work also becomes arduously day by day, and sets a higher request to the highway maintenance work quality. The modern way of machinery maintenance has become imperative. Because of later development of our country's mill digging machine, many essential technologies have not broken through, although it has obtained many achievements and even some products approached or have achieved the technical level of overseas similar product. The degree of product seriation was not high, the type was unitary. For example there is only one 0.5m type if the mill dug width less than 1m.In order to satisfy the different milling condition, the renewal technology of mill digging machine and the development of new mill digging machine have important practical significance and good social and economical efficiency to the further improvement of pavement maintenance's quality and efficiency .In view of the earlier period investigation and the market demand, this paper proposed the topic of developing the 0.6m mill digging machine.This article has first analyzed the mechanism when the bituminous pavement was milled, it was believed that bituminous pavement present the brittle characteristic when milled in normal temperature. On the basis of the analysis the pavement surface milled process, it discussed the mechanics model of the milling process. The power analysis result of Walking and the rotor system indicated that, engine power which The walking system consume mainly is decided to the theory walking speed and the walking system driving moment, the working resistance of the rotor when working process is mainly connected with the static cutting resistance, the dynamic cutting resistance as well as the material of the pavement surface.This article Analyzed the walking hydraulic system's composition and the working principle, calculated and checked the main parameter. Established the walking hydraulic driving system simulation model, the simulation result indicated that: the mill machine walking hydraulic system which use the manual servo variable could solve mill machine power automatic assignment's demand in walking and work process, can satisfy the walking hydraulic system's demand.
