Due to the special nature condition of the drought and cold region, some problems such as low strength, difficult to form body and serious transverse crack, come into being in the cement-stabilized gravel base that widely used in pavement at present. The employing performance of asphalt pavement is influenced seriously of these problems.Influence of the special condition in the drought and cold region to the road performance of cement-stabilized gravel were analyzed by the simulating test of strength, contract and anti-freeze. Through the strength test simulating the temperature and humidity condition of cement-stabilized gravel, effect law of temperature singly on strength forming was educed. The critical influencing temperature of temperature to strength forming of mixture, 7℃, was put forward. The mechanism of the interface phenomena was opened out. The worst contracting status of cement-stabilized mixture was brought forward by contract performance test. The anti-freeze durability test that simulating the actual possible moisture state of base course mixture was firstly put forward and the change law of the freeze-resistant coefficient was obtained. Aiming at the special constructing and employing condition of cement-stabilized base in drought and cold region, the technical measures assuring strength quickly forming and resisting crack were put forward.
