At present, a large number of freeways of our country have already entered maintenance period, maintenance work of freeways on asphalt pavement is being paid more and more attention to. As a convenient, little pollution, low-cost, quick traffic and durable preventive maintenance technology, Micro-surfacing has been widely used abroad already, since entering our country in 2000, Micro-surfacing receive much concern, get fast popularization.This research has described the important meaning of preventative maintenance technology at first, then introduced the application of Micro-surfacing at home and abroad. Through a series of laboratory tests, the writer summarized the key technology of modified asphalt emulsion's production process and the attentive matters during the the raw materials selection. At the same time, the influence rules of the soap liquid pH value, the type and the dosage of emulsifier and polymer modifier and stability additive on the emulsification effect, storage stability, the characters of emulsion evaporating residues has been investigated.In addition, this text has also further investigated construction performance and pavement performance of Micro-surfacing mixture. Have probed into the impacts of aggregate Sand Equivalence, gradation, emulsifier, filler, additive and extra water amount on the mixture's Mixing Time, the impacts of aggregate Sand Equivalence, polymer modifier, cement, temperature on the mixture's Cohesion Torque, the impacts of materials character, different test method, asphalt aggregate ratio, polymer modifier on the mixture's 1h Wet Track Abrasion Test.
