China is now a large motorcycle producer.The requirements of high quality for motorcycle have been heightened.One important factor of the high quality of motorcycle is the low vibration. The usage of the finite element analysis, experiment skill, and multi-body dynamics simulation and road simulation test for investigating the dynamics of motorcycle is explored.Firstly, the modal of the motrocycle frame and swinging arm was analyzed which is used the software of MSC.NASTRAN.The test modal analysis of the frame was accomplished,and validated the finite element analysis model of the motorcycle frame.The flexible motorcycle frame , swinging arm and the static model of the motorcycle were built.The static performances were analyzed with the FEM and the results were a reference for the sensors mounted.Secondly, the sensors were mounted on the motorcycle. The road simulation test was accomplished.Meanwhile,the load signals were acquired.The road simulation test was induced by the road simulation test rig produced by MTS corporation.The front and rear drving singnals which produced the response signals ,which is very close to that produced by road ,were iterated. The indoor road simulation test of the motorcycle was put in practice and the acceleration and strain signals were collected.And then,the rigid-flex coupling virtual driver-motorcycle prototype model was established used the software of MSC.ADAMS.Next the driving signals got by road simulation test were transformed into the 3D road.The driver-motorcycle-road motorcycle's ride comfort analysis model was built.Finally,the model was validated and improved through comparing the results of test and simulation.Finally,the evaluation standard of motorcycle's ride comfort was studied and established. The motorcycle's ride comfort was assessed in road and laboratory test used ISO 5349 and 2631. To improve the ride comfort, the orthogonal test was used to take optimal analysis of the parameters of the suspension and cushion and its influence on ride comfort.The modeling process of motorcycle's ride comfort analysis model and its ride comfort were studied used the simulation combined with road simulation test method.The research results will give help to apply the simulation method highly efficiently and choice the parameters of the suspension and cushion accurately.
