Study On The Planning Of Chinese Mordern Cemetery

Cemetery, as the end-result for the dead, has become a hot spot of the development. Its planning regulation requires the representation of the history, culture and people's feeling. In the reality of the society, difference of the same time and same place is also required. Not only the spirit of the tradition, but also the new skill and the clear character are required. In allusion to the chaos the current planning theory of the cemetery, the planning theory and method are put forward. Through the investigation on site and case study and the comparison of the domestic and the foreign, the evolvement of the planning idea for the process of the cemetery development under different region and culture background of China and the western countries is studied. The development and character, and combining Chinese traditional landscaping method is discussed. The general rules of the contemporary cemetery planning is concluded. Also the strategy of the contemporary cemetery development is proposed. To increase the effectiveness of this article,the author conducted a comprehensive planning of Qingdao Funing Cemetery Park in practice,and made some suggestion on construction and management of modern cemetery.
