With the development of power system, many kinds of protectors of power supply circuits have been produced. Circuit breaker, one kind of protector, is widely used for closing and breaking power supply circuit, which protects the circuit when some faults occur. Electronic release is the central component of circuit breaker, responsible for sampling the signal and controlling the circuit breaker does various operations.Based on the deep research on DSP and intelligent release, the intelligent release using TMS320F2812 DSP as microprocessor is developed. Based on the resources and peripheral interfaces on chip TMS320F2812 DSP, the design of power circuit, SRAM memory circuit, signal modulation circuit, LCD display circuit, wireless communication module, keyboard circuit, and output control circuit are finished. After that, the PCB design, welding of components and testing of the intelligent release are also completed. Meanwhile, the data sample program, three-section current protection program, LCD display program, wireless communication program, keyboard scan program, serial communication program and release control program are designed.The experiments results show that the intelligent release basically achieve expectant purpose.
