The connecting rod is the important part of engine on the car. When the automobile industry develops quickly in our country, it becomes to need amount of connecting rod, and quality of the connecting rod is required strictly. Process of connecting rod is weak in national, and the productivity is not very high. The article improve the process of PPA-1 through the split technical apply. The split technical do not need to process the linking surface of connecting rod and the locating groove. It can reduce processing precision of the bolt hole. It still can ensure the connecting rod pocket actually roundness. The application of split technical enhances the production efficiency of the connecting rod, increased the connecting rod output.The cutting speed v, feed measures f and cutting depth ap is the three essential factors for cutting parameter. Since cutting parameter come from the cutting parameter manual by experience in our country, but it only can obtain a scope value from the cutting parameter manual. It is difficult to obtain the most superior cutting parameter. During the actual production, because the equipment, the cutting tool and the material of product etc is different, sometimes it is unable to rely on the manual or the experience to determine the most reasonable cutting parameter. But it is low efficiency when the cutting parameter receives from the testing. This article is basic on the mathematical programming to establish the objective function of the greatest productivity, and the constraint condition is the surface roughness, the cutting speed, the feed rate, the equipment. Take two plan law as the optimized theory, and with the aid of the MATLAB software optimized toolbox, carries on the optimization to the connecting rod cutting parameter. It can reduce the product time of process and enhances the production efficiency.
