| Along with the economic growth and the improvement of people's living standard, the demand for electricity is increasing. Now the electric power system of Machong is difficult to meet the growth load. In order to keep the sustainable development of national economy in future, Distribution planning, construction and renovation is becoming more and more important to the decision makers. As the power network construction involves a large amount of money and land requisition and some other things, how to do distribution planning, ensure the safe, stable, reliable and economic operation of distribution, make the money and land's efficient use, is one of the indispensable important work to the relevant government and electric power enterprise.The Machong town is in the center of the Pearl River Delta region, it's in the junction of Guangzhou and Dong Guan. Dongguan urban district is in it's east, about 22 kilometers away, Guangzhou urban district is in it's west ,about 29 kilometers away , it's just besides Guangzhou Economic Development Zone. Its south is the Pearl River Estuary the lion Ocean, who has 35 kilometers coastline, it is 72 nautical miles to Hong Kong and 73 nautical miles to Macao by sea. It has the South China's biggest inland ports Guangzhou Xinsha port and Humen port area. The Guangzhou-Shenzhen and Yanjiang expressway cross the town, the land and water traffic is convenient. The Machong town has established Economic development strategy, adopting the traditional manufacturing industry, modern logistics, tourism and real estate as the Pillar Industry. Now it has formed by oils and foodstuffs processing, port logistics, top-grade glass building materials, solar battery, electronic industry, textile clothing, papermaking, Package Printing, chemical industry, metal industries as the pillar export-oriented economic structure. The Machong town will be building as the important Sea-land intermodal base of Dongguan relying on its port advantage, and the port industry center town with modern industry and ecological tourism and Lingnan region characteristic.This paper based on the "11th five-year plan" of power network construction. Combed with the current and historical data analysis, it draws reasonable load forecasting and 110 kV and above Substation planning scheme and supply relevant Suggestions for Main Network. Based on the , it divided the scope of power substation reasonably. Also it recommend a medium voltage distribution network construction scheme, provide the basis for Machong's future Power construction, modification and optimization. The planning will be further improve the Machong distribution network, and make it meets the needs of the construction and economic development, and be high power supply reliability and economical operation of modern power System.This paper investigates and analyses the structure characteristics of domestic distribution network, combed with the actual condition of Machong, planed by scientific theoretical calculation and analysis. Finally, the final planning scheme proposed with the guide of my tutors in and around school, also thanks many distribution network planning experts and Operation technical personnel's discuss and correction. The plan realizes the target of planning first-class grid with first-class technology. It fully reflected the height of planning and scientific.
