Research Of Vehicle Navigation System Based On Real-time Transportation Information

With the high speed development of social economic, there is more and more requirement of transportation. Intelligent transportation system generates accordingly. As a significant part of intelligent transportation system, vehicle navigation system is widely used. But traditional vehicle transportation system merely use static map info to navigate vehicles, can't reflect the traffic situation real-timely. Meanwhile, although some of the cities have already starting to collect dynamic traffic info, usually, the traffic info is too incomplete or too less for those cities.At this background, this project implements a vehicle navigation system based on dynamic traffic info, as well as studies the relevant technologies demanded by this project.First, this paper studies the analysis and process of dynamic traffic info from different source, including the supplementation of road speed for the roads which have no direct speed detecting devices, and the judgment of the level of crowd of a road.Second, this paper studies the sending and receiving method of dynamic traffic info. According to the requirement of system, we choose CMMB as the broadcasting channel for dynamic traffic info. And develop a transportation protocol for dynamic traffic info, based on data requirement.Third, this paper studies the routing method based on dynamic traffic info, especially the method of combining the use of static and dynamic info, on the circumstance of incomplete of dynamic traffic info.At last, we design the general architecture of the vehicle navigation system, and implement it.
