CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) has become the world's most respected and most widely popular first-aid technique since 1960s.Because of the lack of specialized CPR personnel to supply promptly correct treatment method, many patients are on crisis or in death when drowning, electrocution, suffocation, inhalation of toxic gas accident and so on. How to more scientifically guide the broad masses of people to learn CPR technology has become the common concern of the medical profession. However, with the medical system reform and patient's self-protection consciousness increased, it is difficult to let the real patients become practice "props". This is prone to medical malpractice and often refused by patients and their families. Plus nowadays the number of students is more but typical cases less, the conflict between health care and teaching is increasingly prominent. Therefore, it makes great practical significance and value to develop a CPR simulation manikin control system to simulate real human CPR training.The CPR simulation manikin control system was studied and designed according to the lasted international CPR standard. Firstly, the importance of CPR and the development of CPR and the simulation manikin were reviewed, and the practical significance of the design of the CPR simulation manikin control system was summarized. Secondly, according to the system's design requirements and performance indicators, the general design scheme of the system was proposed. Then, the various hardware modules, including optical detection module, voice module, the status display module, the digital display module, LCD module, the print interface module, independent key module and the interface circuit module of the manikin's pupil and carotid, were described in detail. And then, the realization of each functional module was described from software design. Programming was according to the modular design, using C51 as the programming language. It not only made the software design easy to understand and maintain, but also facilitate the product's improvement and upgrading. Finally, the CPR system, with dual core CPU of AT89S52, was debugged. By means of proof test, the CPR manikin control system could complete all the desired features.Teaching and training people by the CPR simulation manikin control system developed on this paper eliminated the disadvantages of "A voice and nothing more" and got further practice for their theory of skill training. Since it was low-cost, portable, cost-effective, reliable, powerful, and so on, this system had a good value of extension.
