Unprecedented frequent and complicated passenger transport task put forward higher requirements with the quality to the transportation. Serving as the basic unit of railway transportation, railway passenger station takes various measures to seize more passenger resource. Operation efficiency of passenger flow path in the railway passenger station corridor influences both the speed and behaviors of the passenger directly. Especially, inbound passenger flow path gains more and more attention to be researched due to its important position and operational significance. To realize the simple and smooth of passenger streamline through reasonable layout in the corridor, is one of the most important contents in the planning and designing for railway passenger station, and also one of the problems urgently to be solved among its operation, management and optimization.First of all, based on the thoroughly analyzing of current research status about railway passenger station, and combined with the actual investigation of Jinan railway station, the thesis drew all the inbound passenger flow path based on the regional division under the fundamental principle of streamline analysis, and determined its three parameters of speed, density and flow.Secondly, analyzed the factors influence the passenger behaviors, the thesis suggest the factors could be attributed to three aspects including passenger characteristics, corridor layout and service environment, established evaluation index system to measure the operation efficiency of passenger flow path in railway passenger station corridor accordingly, and determined the quantization basis and methods to each sub index in this system.Thirdly, utilized evaluation index system the thesis set up to appraise passenger flow path in Jinan railway station corridor, and made use of the methods both qualitative evaluation and quantitative evaluation when appraised. As quantitative evaluation concerned, according to the different operational status of different trains, the thesis divided the inbound passenger flow path into start ordinary, start CRH, passing ordinary and passing CRH, set up mathematical model respectively and used MATLAB programming to fit and revise the obtained data, realized the simulation of the passenger flow path in Jinan railway station and finished the comprehensive evaluation.Finally, on the basis of the evaluation result drew out from passenger flow path in Jinan railway passenger station corridor, recognized and analyzed the bottleneck within it. Concerned the reasons generate the bottleneck, combined the passenger flow path based on regional division and accorded to the characteristic of railway passenger station operation, reset the planning of platform for the passenger trains to stop, lane for the passenger trains to occupy and the correlative waiting room for the passenger to stay. To other detects which influence the passenger flow path operation efficiency, the thesis put forward pertinence improving proposal.
