At present, the belt conveyor is the best efficient translation equipment which has the advantages of long distance transport, large volume and large shipments. Belt conveyor has become the main device for coal mining, but its drive system is expensive, complex and difficult to maintain. Automatic transmission takes an important role in vehicle powertrain, it has high excellent adaptability, low cost, easiness to manufacture and convenience to maintain. Therefore, this paper proposes a new application of automatic transmission in belt conveyor. Based on the hydraulic system of automatic transmission, the paper studied the hydraulic system of automatic transmission in belt conveyor.Automatic transmission shift up and down through the joint and withdrawing of the unite components, so the shift process is actually the process jointing and withdrawing of the unite components. In the new automatic transmission, control system detects the conveyor belt speed and load signal, according with certain shift schedule, it sends electronic signals, which control shift valve and realize automatic shift. In order to insure the smooth shift, pressure regulating and flow control system is adapted to control oil pressure changing curve of the applying elements. Be based upon the working mechanism of automatic transmission hydraulic system, this paper analyzes and researches detailed pressure regulating and flow control system, shift control system, shift quality control system, hydraulic system of torque converter. This paper summarizes the pressure regulating and flow control systems of automatic transmission, and realizes the ultimate composition, basic parameter's ascertain and design requirement of system. This paper establishes fully analytical method of automatic transmission hydraulic shift control system, including the function of the AT shift control system and designing requirement. This paper also provides the basic principle of shift quality control, especially presents several methods of improving shift quality in terms of analysis of shifting process. This paper details the hydraulic control system of AT in belt conveyor and the principle of hydraulic shift control system, and draws up hydraulic circuit of each components based on shift control hydraulic principle. In addition, add components of shift quality system to the above hydraulic system, so we can improve the shift quality of hydraulic system. The thesis employs the simulation software AMEsim to build a simulation model to carry on the emulation of the hydraulic system. And the emulation results validate the correction of these analyses.Using hydraulic control technology of automatic transmission will be benefit to the development of long distance, high speed, large volume for the belt conveyor. It can enhance the design level, the operation performances and reliability, also can meet the require of large-scale and automation, so this technology has important practical value.
