Currently,belt conveyor are widely used in chemical industry,metallurgy and industrial and mining enterprises,because it has advantages of simple structure,conveying capacity,wide transportation of materials,long distance,loading and unloading conveniently,high reliability,high automation,etc.Therefore,the belt conveyor is the major equipment for transporting loose materials.However,any fault often occurs in the process of working,and 70%to 80%is caused by the conveyor deviation.It is indispensable that an offset device was designed and installed in the belt conveyor to provide a certain amount of security.The reasons why the conveyor run deviation and the advantages and disadvantages of several offset devices were analyzed.A kind of hydraulic automatic adjusting deviation device was designed in this paper based on some problems,for example,unsatisfactory offset effect,the conveyor belt wearing largely,higher environmental requirements and so on.This device consists of rollers and hydraulic control device.It does not need an external power source and can detect the conveyor belt deviation automatically.The angle of offset roller frame is controlled automatically by the use of a hydraulic pump which is driven by rotating friction roller.It can be applied in any harsh environment and installed easily and small damage to the conveyor.First,the three-dimensional model of the mechanical structure of belt conveyor system was established by the software of SolidWorks.Secondly,the virtual prototype model of the system was established by ADAMS software and it was analyzed by multi-body dynamics simulation.Then,flexibility of the conveyor was completed by the software of ANSYS and rigid-flexible coupling mode was generated which was replaced with rigid body by the ADAMS.Besides,compared with different operating and load conditions of the virtual prototype,the result is shown that offset device can make the deviation conveyor belt adjust back near the center of the rack quickly and operate stably.Finally,build machine hydraulic coupling simulation model of the hydraulic automatic offset device by using hydraulic simulation software AMESim and dynamics analysis software ADAMS and create the co-simulation interface.The machine hydraulic coupling simulation further validates the feasibility and rationality of the hydraulic automatic adjusting deviation device and has played an important role in the rational design of the device and further study.
