Research Of Active Knowledge Support System And Its Application In Structural Design

Products design is a knowledge-intensive job, every step of design runs through the application of knowledge such as design experience, specification, methods and principle, etc. Lots of tacit knowledge, for example, experience and method, is obtained through constantly grope and summarize by design experts, but with the retirement or transfer of expert, these valuable experience and knowledge will naturally loss. Furthermore, for young designers, due to the lack of experience knowledge, in the process of produces design, they often need the direction of experts. Otherwise they have to grope by themselves, impact on the quality and efficiency of design seriously.To solve these problems, the thesis conducts the research of the method of active knowledge support. On the basis of collecting lots of knowledge, such as expert experience, principles and norms, etc. in the field, analyses the design task of designer, determine the knowledge needs of design process by judging the individual knowledge structure, and then provide personalized knowledge support to designer. To achieve that transfer the appropriate knowledge to the appropriate person at the appropriate time, effectively alleviate the knowledge pre-study burden of designers, increase design efficiency and quality, and enhance the market competitiveness of enterprise.On the basis of theoretical research, the thesis applies the method of active knowledge support to the field of costume designing, researches and develops an active knowledge support system of costume structural design, to reduce the threshold knowledge requirements of structural design to designers, realize the effective transmission of expert experience knowledge. First of all, the thesis conducts the requirement analysis of the system, including general demand target, data requirement, functions requirements, business processes and system management. On the basis of requirement analysis, conducts the overall structure design of the system, the development of the system is abstracted into two parts: the construction of knowledge base and realization of system functions. According to the requirement analysis of the system, combined with structural design software that commonly used, determines the knowledge that the system includes are design experience that structural design expert accumulate, design theory and apparel CAD system design skills, etc. After obtains knowledge from knowledge sources, such as design experts, professional books, etc. by the method of artificial acquisition and semi-automatic acquisition, using the object-oriented way to carry out knowledge representation through analysis, induction and summary, then via concept structural design, logical structural design and physical design, completes the building of knowledge base using relational database technology, achieves the storage of knowledge. The system uses JSP technology to devise the human-computer interface, and divides the whole system into two subsystems: foreground client-side and back-stage management. The subsystem of foreground client-side includes six function modules: structural design for special body, application of CAD, quick search, knowledge support and message renew; the subsystem of back-stage management includes five modules: users management, questions management, knowledge management, announcement management and edit profile. The system gets designer's design task through clothing styles and body feather of customer, on this basis, determines the designer's knowledge needs through judging his knowledge level. After that, inquires knowledge that matches the knowledge needs at the knowledge base, through filtering, classification and sort, based on the law of quickly utilizing knowledge of human, realizes quickly and efficiently knowledge support to the designer.The research and development of active knowledge support system of costume structural design tests and verifies the practicability of the method of active knowledge support and its application value in the field of design.
