Good Unit commitment is the basic condition of ensuring the security, economy and environmental protection of generation dispatching in the patter of energy-saving generation dispatching, so the research on unit commitment problem has important theoretical significance and practical value. Mixed integer linear programming model of security constrained Thermal Power unit commitment is presented in the paper. Considering the complexity of the model, to improve computational efficiency, step strategy is brought forward to solve the model. Step solving strategy includes three steps: slack integer variable linear programming, heuristic adjustment, solving mixed integer linear programming unit commitment model with some uncertain condition units. Multiple objective (energy-saving and emission-reducing) optimization unit commitment model is built, and the model is solved through fuzzy multiple objective optimization method and constrained method. Different examples show that the above-mentioned method possesses high calculation speed, better efficiency of solution, which can be used to solve a larger scale unit commitment.
