As our society is making more progress that the commercial culture and art has got rapid development in the whole world,and the product packaging design which has been overlooked for many years are getting more and more attentions in recent years by the enhancement and development of the peoples aesthetic sense and aesthetic taste. Every country has its own culture because of their geographical and cultural differences in the accumulation.our ancestors had left a lot of traditional cultural heritage to us,and it became a new research that how to inherit and develop the Chinese traditional culture so that the traditional Chinese cultural elements and modern packaging design could settle down in the millennium and could creating a more perfect with distinct traditional Chinese culture characteristics of modern product packaging.would make research from various angles of the elements of traditional Chinese culture and Chinese contemporary art of the subject product packaging In this paper,the first chapter is the introduction part, and explain the research is mainly an overview of research directions and approaches, the research of social and theoretical significance; and the second chapter is mainly about the contents and relationship of modern packaging design and Chinese traditional culture, the main analysis of the modern packaging design and development of traditional Chinese cultural elements and the need to complement each other, modern packaging design, as well as traditional cultural elements of the necessity of reform and innovation; the third chapter is about the trends of modern Packaging Design and Application of the principles of traditional Chinese cultural elements, focusing on analysis of traditional Chinese elements of local and international nature; the fourth chapter is about the expand the use of analysis of modern traditional Chinese cultural elements in packaging design, from the application of packaging materials, pattern choice, the traditional colors of the organization, etc. to expand the use of specific practical analysis of specific and comprehensive understanding of traditional cultural elements in the practical application in various situations; the last chapter is the conclusions of the subject for the research projects.
