For the architect creation, it is meaningful to research and analyze the expression power of louvers as building skin, to arrange and generalize the strategy of application of louvers as building skin.This article focuses on details expression and mix-expression to analyze louvers skins'expression in combined with the objective modeling performance and the subjective experience of cognitive psychology, with a number of architecture projects to demonstrate. Beginning with the cognition of louvers, firstly, the development of louvers as building skin and the variety of louvers are introduced, Then the article simply introduced louvers' function and construction, analyzed the relationship between them and the expression of building skin. Secondly, the article analyzed the expression of louvers comprehensively in two aspects which is consisted of ontology-expression and composing-expression, the ontology-expression of louvers is analyzed in combined with related theory and examples, based on the shape, color, material and lighting of louvers. The composing-expression consisted of composition of louvers group and other architectural position. By means of analyzing the features and the way of composition, it analyzed the composing-expression according to the factual condition. Finally, it proposed the strategy of application of louvers, by the means of analyzing the expressive factors which affect louvers as building skin, it arranged and generalized the principle of application and ways of expression, and pointed out the developmental trend of louvers as building skin, it may be helpful to the creation of architecture.
