| In order to ensure the vehicles loaded with overweight freight safe and cause little damage to the bridge, this paper studied bridge inspection and evaluation method during the transportation cycle in three aspects. The research presented in this paper is based on the relevant theoretical analysis, and is illustrated relying on bulky goods transportation projects of Qianjiang tunnel shield.The bridge inspection and evaluation should be systematically performed during the whole cycle of bulky goods transportation:the bridge inspection before transportation is the necessary fundamental step; the field inspection addressing on the material properties and appearance quality is only needed to be performed on 7 components emphatically, using the evaluation results the coefficient Z1 can be determined according to the recommended form; while the coefficient Z2 of assembly-type multi-beam bridge after load test can be determined considering both calibration coefficient and lateral increase coefficient comprehensively. After the bulky goods transportation, the original damaged components, enhanced components and new damaged components should be inspected again, so as to ensure the long term safety of the bridge operation. Both "Comparison of live load method" and "Accurate calculation method" can be used to evaluate the ultimate strength of the bridge during the bulky goods transportation, but the scope of application and standards adopted should be considered separately. In the situation of multi-vehicles multi-batch bulky goods passing the bridge, the different level real-time monitoring must be performed during transportation.This paper summarized the experiences of shield bulky goods transportation, which could be the references for similar projects in the future. |
