The Research Of Several Regional Problems Of Na-xi Traditional Settlement

In the "Lijiang·Yunnan·Baisha·Yuhu Village Conservation and Development Planning," the preparation for Yuhu regional protection and continuation of the village were identified as important objectives. However, in a regional event in Yuhu village enabled us to realize that, under the regional representation, regional connotation is undergoing significant and profound changes. In order to understand the regional more clearly, and find a more reasonable and effective way to start planning on this basis, we need to focus on four issues when we made plans for the site:What is the traditional settlement regional character? What changes have taken place today in the content of the traditional village? What are the differences between different regional groups? What is the mechanism in the contemporary of traditional regional settlement? All these questions let our regional thinking back to the origin.Focused on these four issues, the author try to analyze and answer one by one in each chapter. First, to answer "What is the traditional settlement regional character?" the paper launched the concept of regional and related research. The research shows that the concept of regional have metamorphic and exoteric characteristics because of the different disciplines, using objective and the environment, while the associated "local" and "place" are also important to the research. On this basis, using "local" and "place" concept, the author researches the internal features and regional spiritual connotation of traditional settlement, and proposes that the internal characteristics of traditional regional settlement by the "mosaic" metaphor changed into a "node" of the metaphor. And the metaphysical philosophy is gradually being replaced by the value system of modern society, resulting spiritual content of traditional settlements in regional village residents irreversible changes have taken place. Conclusions of these two studies reflect the existence of traditional settlements regional changes in the objective laws of meaning and historical inevitability, but also pointed out that the planners in the contemporary formation of regional settlement should have actively.In order to further understanding and appropriate use of planning behavior in the process of regional formation, this article reflects the settlement of regional residents ideas, and puts forward:the concept of a regional settlement inhabitants are simple and spontaneous; the contemporary concept of village residents is a regional initiative on the arising from the pursuit of economic benefits, it has the tendency of the traditional settlement symbolization or commercialization; regional planners'regional concepts with self-reflection and critical are resist to the universal culture and common ground trend of resistance. On this basis, the case study of Yuhu village explored a formation mechanism model of regional settlement. And combined with the preceding analysis the traditional settlement can be understood as a kind of objective results of regional settlement process in the development and evolution the history of the gradual accumulation. So far, this conclusion finally answered the first question of this paper, that "What is the traditional settlement regional character?"Based on the above understanding, this paper concludes with a reference for planners' attitude or behavior of the principle, the "authenticity" principle. Defer to the "authenticity" should respect to village residents'real life and self-interest of them. Planning should more reflect the "guide" and "control" role, which will be return community build responsibility and creative freedom of the "regional style" back to the village residents themselves, in order to achieve "authenticity" respect.
