Design Of Electric Power Energy Saving System For Road Lighting Based On AC Chopper

In recent years, China has achieved rapid development of street construction, the quality of road lighting has got continuous improvement. It will play a great role at improving China's investment environment, promoting rapid economic development, facilitating the life of the masses, and constructing as an export-oriented modern city. However, accompanied with the substantial increase in energy consumption has become the burden of power system.Based on the analysis of road lighting energy-saving at home and abroad and research significance of the status. First, the feasibility of energy-saving lights by reducing the lamp voltage has been analyzed with the actual data. Based on the structure of the exchange of AC Chopper voltage controller add-series transformer has been proposed as a new energy-saving mode. As the core unit is the AC Chopper Voltage Controller. Therefore, this paper discussed the works of the IGBT chopper and voltage control strategy in detail. Based on a large number of simulation, the main circuit, driver protection circuit, voltage and current detection circuit, filter circuit and other hardware circuits of the voltage controller have been designed. Second, F310 microcontroller produced by the U.S. Silicon laboratories used as control device, software features such as the voltage detector, digital PI regulator, sub-time dimming control have been completed. Finally, the thermal design for the control devices has been analyzed and thermal testing results show the feasibility of thermal design.Energy-saving mode proposed in this paper has many advantages such as simple structure, no grade non-contact voltage regulator, non-harmonic pollution and the controller only bear the load power that need be adjusted. The AC voltage controller has been made to do load testing.Experimental results show that subjects have achieved the expected results, have a good application prospect.
