This paper presented briefly induction energy-saving on city lighting at home and abroad status, then propose the problems of energy-saving on city lighting at present. they include:LED street lamps that exist with light distribution, light attenuating, rejection of heat difficult technical issues and such as the cost of promotion. As well as the greater use of domestic energy-saving way of compensation voltage transformer voltage downshift eliminate the existence of the phenomenon and impact of the lighting lamp life and so on. Therefore, based on the current domestic that city street lighting they use gas discharge lamp of the actual situation, the paper introduces the compensation transformer step-down chopper IGBT energy-saving technology and high-frequency AC voltage regulation technology, a combination of energy-saving programs. The theory not only has the compensation transformer energy saving simple, mature, stable, high reliability advantages, another high-frequency IGBT chopper continuous dynamic voltage regulation, and no harmonic interference characteristics, which can effectively avoid the transient voltage fluctuations caused by eliminate the phenomenon of light. As a result of the compensation transformer is not directly used for electricity, but only from compensation, so the power transformer and volume of a more direct use of energy-saving mode transformers downshift considerably reduced, can save a lot of copper, iron core and other materials. The program-controlled high-frequency electric and electronic parts are not cutting off power supply circuit work, its power is only about 20% of rated power, for the anti-surge and over current requirements of the impact of greatly reduced, so device stability and reliability have been effectively improved, while its energy-saving devices to achieve continuous dynamic voltage regulator, voltage regulator, avoiding the energy-saving and environmental control voltage change a negative impact on the lighting equipment.In theory on the basis of analysis and software simulation to this paper, passed to current detection through the use of non-complementary control method of the design and control the use of CPLD design of PWM timing generation circuit based on IGBT high-frequency chopper developed AC voltage control module and ARM Intelligent voltage controller, which further completed based on ARM-saving street lighting design and production of machine work and made the device hardware and software protection measures.The final paper, by saving lighting prototype test results given in the conclusion, which is based on ARM-saving street lighting hardware circuit design, reliable, runs good, stable performance, the output waveform ideals, various technical indicators to meet the design requirements. Successfully completed the entire design work subject to the various design tasks to achieve the purpose of the equipment developed.
