With the continuous expansion of the scale grid, the safe operation of power systems become more important. As in the power system protection, control functions of the normal operation of the circuit breaker has put forward higher requirements. In order to ensure reliable operation of circuit breakers, keep abreast of the status of the operation of circuit breakers, reasonable maintenance and replacement of circuit breakers, high voltage circuit breaker operating status of the study has been more and more attention, and have achieved certain results, these the results to the actual production is running well and, but the whole, the circuit breaker condition assessment more focused on the electrical or mechanical parameters of a number of specific monitoring, lack of an effective algorithm to characterize the work of the state circuit breaker and a variety of tests, the relationship between the operating parameters.In this paper, the overhaul of China's high-voltage circuit breaker status, discusses the implementation of high-voltage circuit breaker condition-based maintenance significance.
