Stability analysis of high slope along highway subgrade is the prerequisite for the design of high slope of road subgrade, road high slope stability problem can be decomposed into two aspects, one is the whole stability problem of a section of highway high slope, the other is the local stability of the specific weak part of a targeted high slope. Highway high slope stability analysis as a whole is the understanding of the state of stability for a section of high slope wholly and from the overall perspective, which has important significance for the design,construction,maintenance and local stability analysis of high slope.In this paper, the high slope stability analysis as a whole is researched, from the high slope stability evaluation criteria,the loads of the high slope of highway roadbed,the rock and soil parameters of high slope,limit equilibrium analysis and strength reduction finite element method to carry out a comprehensive analysis and research, and obtained some useful conclusions, as follows:①This paper analyzes the disaster situations and the status quo of China's collapse, landslide, debris flow and other geological disasters, focusing on analysis of the slope stability problems in highway projects, thinks that in the wake of China's progress in highway construction, highway roadbed stability of high slope has become one of the key technical problems in the current high-grade highway construction, the road high slope stability analysis of the overall high slope is of great significance on the highway design,construction and maintenance; In this paper, the traditional method for calculating slope stability, including the rigid body limit equilibrium method, limit analysis method, finite element arc search method is done and a more systematic analysis and summary is completed, introduces the basic principles of strength reduction finite element method specially, by comparison with the traditional method of calculation described its advantages.②In this paper, the high slope stability evaluation criteria have been studied, the slope stability comprehensive evaluation criteria by roadbed engineering geological evaluation and the quantitative criteria of stability of roadbed high slope for highway were analyzed.③In this paper, the main loads and rock-soil mechanics parameters for highway subgrade high slope was researched, the determination methods for high slope loads,load combination,rock-soil mechanics parameters was also researched. ④This paper analysed the overall stability analysis of roadbed slope, the arc method, single-plane sliding surface method, transmission coefficient method of the limit equilibrium slope analysis method is discussed theoretically and examples demonstrates the calculation.⑤In this paper, the current research situation of the strength reduction finite element method are analyzed, and on the finite element strength reduction for jointed rock slope stability analysis was discussed, on the finite element strength reduction to the overall high slope of highway roadbed stability analysis an example was carried out.
