Ship propulsion control system is the main power control device for the propulsion system, consisting of diesel engines, gear boxes, stern shaft monitoring, security protection, and remote control system components. Propulsion control system is the core of the ship engine room automation systems, which is an important symbol of modern ships.With the fast development of the computer control and communication technology, computer network technology, which is based on integrated automation system, has being developed and applied in the modern ships. Its advantages lie in its digital and high-level automation technology to replace a lot of heavy manual work, improving work efficiency and relieving the crew from the harsh working conditions. The technology has improved the automation of ships,which is the developing trend of ship propulsion control system. At present, there is a big gap between the propulsion control system and advanced technology.The near-monopoly of foreign manufacturers ship propulsion control system products in China has seriously hampered the development of China's shipbuilding equipment industry.Carrying out research and design engine room automation technology of ship propulsion control system is significant to China's independent research progress and developing capabilities,.In this paper,the following tasks are included:1. In-depth study of medium-speed diesel engine propulsion system control requirements based on the overall structure of the system are determined,based on the further research monitoring alarm, security and remote control system CPU are operated by three independent control, centralized control room configuration operation terminal (touch screen).They exchange data between the adoption of Industrial Ethernet. The system is not only independent of each other, alarm and security systems to monitor each other's backup, but also promote a comprehensive and integrated power control device.2. For medium-speed diesel engine with gear box drive fixed pitch propeller marine propulsion device, the main design completed alarm monitoring, security, start, control mode switching, process speed, the important parameter tuning, load control function;3. According to the functional requirements and hardware characteristics, propulsion control system follows the international standard IEC 61131-3 with an open software platform CODESY complete propulsion control system design of the user program;4. System reliability design:according to the special environmental requirements for the ship, the system power supply part of the deal to take redundancy and has increased anti-jamming design, implementation of the propulsion control system failure monitoring and electromagnetic compatibility of hardware and software processing.After the application to the real ship's main propulsion control system,it shows that:the system has the features of full function, high reliability, strong anti-interference, easy operation, versatility and so on.
