Ecological And Aesthetic Researches On Shuikou Of Traditional Village

"Shuikou" is an important element of traditional villages, which is also a part of the living environment of ancient Chinese. Huizhou, Wuzhou have unique Shuikou culture due to their special natural, social, historical and cultural elements.Combined with the study area's physical geography, historical and cultural background, this paper analysis characteristic, formation mechanism from the overall macro-and micro-case sides with architecture and structure theories, and also summarizes the type, size, composition, functional role and the cultural implications of shuikou.Taking Shuikou of Huizhou, Wuzhou as the main cases, the paper makes further study on the lineage, local chronicles and other historical documentation of the known, and analysis its regional ecological characteristics with Fengshui theories.
