The Earthquake damage shows that torsional response of eccentric structure under seismic action was one of main factors of seismic performance degradation . At prensent, elastoplastic dynamic analysis about eccentric structure home and abroad mainly based on seismic experience, lacking of basis for certain analysis, and there are many disputes on pattern about coupling between translation and torsion of eccentric structure under elastic-plastic status.Threrfore it's significant to carry out research on seismic elastoplastic law of eccentric structure.This paper focus on torsional response of structures with mass and strength eccentricity under the lateral earthquake action., simulating the elastoplastic dynamic analysis of structures by finite element methods,which contains three kinds of eccentric structure,then the seismic elastoplastic torsional response law of eccentric structure and characteristics of elastic ststus, cracking, yield ststus were obtained. There were six kinds of strength eccentricity conditions in each mass and stiffness eccentricity,different eccentric structures were simutated respectively,getting some dynamic response law, changing characteristics of strength distribution and dynamic response of eccentric structures under bi-directional horizontal seismic action,providing some references for seismic design of eccentric structure.
