There is difference between the inelastic and elastic earthquake response. The abundant experimental data and simulation analysis are integrant in order to understand the inelastic earthquake response completely. The prevenient researchers generally process history analysis and pushover analysis by using frame model because of computational condition. The researchs give frame members a lot of plastic properties, but it is not enough. Different researchers have obtained different conclusions. Along with the development of computer technology and the perfect of reinforced concrete constitutive relation, it is present more and more exact model used the inelastic earthquake response but few of them are used in design because the complex model needs a great deal of time.This paper first uses frame model and solid model to process the inelastic earthquake response to eccentric structure, compares the difference between both of them, drews the conclusion that the results of frame model and solid model are not large difference when the structure plastic deformation is small, but the solid model is safe when the structure plastic deformation is large. So, the designer should use the frame model and the solid model reasonably.Then the paper simulates every kind of one-story asymmetric structures with four lateral force resistance members using the space solid model and process history analysis under one and two dimensional earthquake, gets the difference of the eccentric building's inelastic response influenced by strength eccentricity under one and two dimensional earthquake, finds out the best strength eccentricity of every kind of eccentric structures. The results indicate that the responses of mass eccentric structures under one and two dimensional earthquake are different, but to uniaxial stiffness eccentric structures, the difference is small; The best strength eccentricity is influenced by other factor besides the static eccentricity.
