Distribution system reliability evaluation has deeply effect to the reliability of power system, as well as important for decision-making of it . So, in order to improve the reliability of power system, the work on the reliability evaluation of distribution system is valuable. In this passage, a Bayesian network based on a fault tree for reliability evaluation of distribution system is used. It can compute the reliability indices of distribution system effectively. And use the double-directional reasoning technology, it also can quantitatively analyze the reliability weakness of each load point. And use these messages, we can find better way to improve the reliability of power system and strength the weakness of the system. At last, use MATLAB language to realize the passage, and proved to be feasible and valid through examples.
