Crime is a complex social phenomenon which serious harm to the life and property of human and the social order, it changes and produces new features continually along with the development of social, politics and economy. At present, various social conflicts constantly appear and urban crime rate rising up in China which is in the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization phase. Spatial analysis of crime is an important content of crime research, it has a strong practical significance to prevent crime from space planning, construction and management measures, but the research on this problem in China is still lacking.This paper analyzed the city criminal case data and the second economic census data of Changchun in street research unit with statistical analysis and spatial analysis software such as GIS and SPSS. At last ,it comes to the law of crime in Changchun.The paper consists of five parts:The first part: Summarizes the related theory and the research progress on spatial analysis of crime home and abroad.The second part: Introduction of the study area, data sources and research methods.The third part: do basic analysis and spatial distribution analysis on the city criminal case data and the second economic census data. The basic analysis include the analysis of criminal types and characteristics, the analysis of spatial distribution include the distribution of the total number of criminal cases, the density distribution of criminal cases and the distribution of the number of criminal cases per million people.The forth part: Do the analysis of correlation and regression between criminal density and population density, non-native population density, density of retail and catering activities and other factors separately to reveal the correlation between the phenomenon of crime and the environmental factors.
