Tourism Landscape Design Of The Ancient Village Under The Geographical And Cultural Background

The ancient village landscape, which is formed under the deep-seated historical culture and unique natural condition, is rich in local flavor and characterized with local historical and cultural features. As a result, it is endowed with great value in rural tourism. Overall consideration should be taken of local cultural elements in the design of the ancient village tourism landscape. However, in the current process of urbanization and with the rapid development of new rural construction conditions of the times, many landscapes have been destroyed. On the other hand, in the process of exploitation for tourism in ancient villages, the peculiar regional characteristics are neglected in the design of landscapes, i.e. becoming "urbanization of rural areas". Therefore, this thesis attempts to carry on and develop regional culture as a foothold. On the basis of previous studies and combined with literature collection method, on-site survey method and case study method, the ancient village's tourism landscapes are then sketched and a new path of analyzing and studying of ancient village tourism landscape are explored.At the start of the thesis, the ancient village tourism landscape is divided into macro, meson and micro levels, after which, detailed analyses are carried out from three perspectives:architectural environmental landscape, farming cultural landscape, non-material cultural landscape, respectively. The three principles of culture inherits, ecological balance and aesthetic vision are stressed in the design. The relationship between the design of the ancient village tourism landscape and regional culture is then specifically illustrated. The characteristics of geographical culture of ancient village tourism landscape are analyzed from the ancient village culture, landscape and tourism perspective. The thesis demonstrates that the regional cultural element is the basis of landscape design for ancient village, where tourism is the main content of rural tourism, and tourism has a profound impact on the shift of geographical and cultural landscapes of ancient villages.During the year 2008, the author participated in the landscape design of Mutouyu village of Jia county in Shaanxi province. We sort the ancient village tourism landscape and the environment on the basis of adequate investigation and research of local village. And I designed the landscape for Mutouyu village under the theoretical framework mentioned above. During the process, I consider that there are large amount of valuable regional culture information, and that they should be completely preserved during the landscape design.The thesis discusses the ancient village tourism landscape design practices under the geographical and cultural background. It is of great meaning in the ancient village tourism landscape design which is full of cultural connotation in the Loess Plateau.
