The reservoir operation chart is an important means of reservoir reasonable operation. The chart drawing by conventional method is hard to meet the needs of reliability index and efficiency index of the hydropower station at the same time, and manual correction with arbitrary. Therefore, in order to improve the generating efficiency of hydropower, based on the combination of intelligent algorithm, this paper puts forward a new method for optimizing routine operation chart------Hybrid Genetic algorithm and Simulated annealing algorithm, achieving the computer-automatic optimization of the chart. By mixing the ability of the global search of genetic algorithm and that of local search of simulated annealing algorithm, the calculation accuracy is improved and the haphazardry of manual correction of the chart is avoided. The application of this method in practical project proves that this algorithm is reliable and effective not only for the optimization of operation chart but also cascade hydropower stations which can obtain considerable economic benefit. In the meanwhile, it provides a feasible way for realizing the economical operation of hydropower station.
