This paper first introduces the basic principles of genetic algorithm.Due to its poor global search ability as well as its slow convergence,we combines it with the self-adaptive optimization,which enables crossover operator and mutation operator to automatically change with fitness and puts forward the self-adaptive genetic algorithm, thus effectively maintaining the species diversity.Besides,the introduction of the niche forms the final niche self-adaptive genetic algorithm and strengthens global search capabilities,to avoid partial optimal solution and speed up the convergence rate.In the end,mathematical models of the single database and the cascade united optimal operation are separately set up.We can set the parameter of the genetic algorithm toolbox in MATLAB and find the solutions to the related model.After the analysis and comparison with the conventional optimal algorithm,the results can be show that improved genetic optimization algorithm can achieve better results,providing an effective and viable new approach to address the reservoir optimal problem.
