In the iron and steel production processes produce large amounts of BFG, COG and LDG. Some steel company has solved the gas bleeding problems through the construction of two 300MW co-combustion generator sets with pulverized coal and gas. There have been insufficient co-firing of BFG, coke, burst pipes and other issues, although the gas, coal-combustion power generation boilers that have been in used produced significant economic benefits. This paper analyzes the combustion characteristics of the pulverized coal, BFG and the two co-firing. We proceed the combustion adjusting experiments to the 300MW mixed boiler under a variety of operating conditions. Through one or two wind adjustment, we had actualized the co-firing combustion stability. By energy research, we obtained the best combustion adjustment methods, and economic load points. To reduce the impact of BFG, COG yield fluctuation, we have built some matching storage equipments such as BFG cabinets, COG cabinets, LDG cabinets etc.. Simultaneously, our energy source dispatching system has reinforced the abilities such as counterbalance, command, coordination etc. to ensure stable combustion boiler and the maximum BFG consumption is satisfied.
