Tentatively Research On Architectural Experience Based On Phenomenology Of Perception

Contemporary architecture refuses emotion and memory, and few of them could climb up into the realm of poetry to touch people's dream and heart. In this image era of Post-Modern, architectural practitioners engage in symbol and vision collage, but they lack the subtle atmosphere of sorrow and memory. However, the significance of architecture should beyond symbol, history and rhetoric meaning which comes from architects. On the contrary, architecture should be the composition of material, color, construction, sound, and odor. Architecture should seek for the significance of material property and spiritual meaning which serve to dig out the deep memory and dream of the users. Phenomenology Of Perception is such an design strategy which wipes out existing prejudice to get close to the essence of architecture——the real sense comes from users and the meaning comes from building itself. This kind of strategy also serve to tell the story of consonance which we experience from special construction, exquisite details and material instead of any external meaning. Moreover, Literature, Music, Dance, Chinese traditional garden and Architecture can learn from each other in the perspective of motivating the experience of human senses. In this article, the architectural core issue of how to absorb essence form other subjects and introspection of traditional design program are being discussed from the viewpoint of Experience in order to create poetic space and place by returning to the original nature of material and quoting nature factors.
