Electric Vehicle as a kind of environmentally friendly transport is of great social concern. Because the technology of the battery is not mature, the application of a group of battery needs to be penetrated. It is urgent to design a battery datalogger based on the battery management system to recorde the battery parameters.This article has designed a battery datalogger and builded its hardware circuit platform. The article use the cpu which set arm7 as the core as the controller and design the power supply and the peripheral circuit. It can realize the 485,,232,can communication with battery management system and implement data processing and storage and sending. The design of the hardware use the method to resist disturbance to ensure the data recorder work properly. Use C language as the software platform, make the system functional modules reasonable and use interrupts to communicate with battery management system and the computer. It use two types of memory to record the data so the design distribute the storage address space and choose the recording content. The system record and send the data and do function settings.It choose Labview as the upper software platform. Design two separate program to implement data storage and analysis. One program could store the data in the pc, the other one can show the record and simply analysis the data. The datalogger is convenient and of small size,and it is easy for installation.The Datalogger for electric vehicles designed in this paper can contribute to the further theory research of battery for electric vehicles and it has strong practicability.
