In recent years, the construction of subaqueous tunnel during the crossing rivers and channels comes into a rapid development time in our country. The tunnel utilizing shield method accounts for a considerable proportion in the wave of construction. The underwater tunnel with large section, long distance, shallow depth and variety of geological conditions, leading to the calculation of lining loads become extremely complex, therefore, the study on the mechanical condition of the segment lining structure has become a major issue addressed immediately.Taking Guangzhou Shiziyang Tunnel with large section segment lining structure as specimens, adopting the method of numerical simulation and the prototype test,the dissertation studied on the failure characteristics and the internal force distributed of the lining under different combination of static soil pressure and hydrostatic pressure when using the straight joints assembling.The main contents are as follows:1,The prototype of lining with straight joints is loaded with the multi-functional prototype shield tunnel structure loading system. Among the system, to simulate the soil pressure effect, the pull beams were used to impose the moment by loading the radial pressure on the lining while the hoop beams were used to impose the axial force on the lining to simulate the hydraulic pressure effect. Finally the failure test showed the wrecking characteristic which the numerical simulation couldn't have.2,Compared with results of prototype test, the mechanical characteristics of the lining is preliminary obtained by computing and analyzing the moment and axial force under different load when using the straight joint assembling, using a beam-spring model to simulate the prototype test.
