Integrated Passenger Transportation Hub is the cross point of various traffic modes and the place for travelers to gather, disperse and transfer, so it plays a very critical role in the connection between city internal and external traffic. Nowadays many integrated passenger transportation hubs have been contrusted in china, but the operation effect is not satisfactory. The main reason for this is that the layout of traffic facilities in the hub is unreasonable, leading to long walking distances of travellers, inconvenience transfer, low efficiency and the waste of traffic resources.In view of this, the paper carries out research on layout optimization for integrated passenger transportation hub from the system aspect.First of all, this paper discusses the basic theoretical knowledge about integrated passenger transportation hub. The paper defined the meaning of integrated passenger transportation hub in this study, analyzes the function, classification, formation process and development trend, classifies the hub facilities according to different functions and analyzes their characteristics.Secondly, this paper analyzes the transfer volume forecast for integrated passenger transportation hub. After studying the various influence factors of traveler transfer from three respects, including traffic modes, travelers and travel process, this paper discusses the transfer volume forecast methods based on the gravity model and multinomial Logit model, and set up the transfer impedance function including the cost, transfer-time, wait-time, in-vehicle time and comfort factors.On the basis of transfer volume forecast, the layout of facilities was studied. This paper analyzes three modes of overall spatial layout of hub facilities, and discusses the link and transfer layout modes and their advantages and disadvantages between various traffic modes. After studying the factors affecting layout, this paper proposes new ideas for layout optimization and establishes the model with the lowest average transfer cost, then the validity and applicability of the model are verified by taking a calculation example.Finally, the paper chooses Chengdu Sha He Bao integrated passenger transportation hub as example analysis to verify the research results in the paper from the transfer volume forecast and layout optimization. It can offer references and practical value to improve the planning and design of integrated passenger transportation hub in the theory.
