Web-steel structure system is one type of web light-gauge steel joist systems. It takes on the following features:the structure takes the columns and trusses on the floor as its main bearing frame. What is special is that the column consists of linking pieces and tapping screws connected by cold-formed steel side. The outside protecting structure is done by skins that covered over the columns with the tapping screws fastened on. The transfer mechanism is that columns link the upper with the lower; Struts and skins make up bearing wall; Vertical load is transmitted from the trusses on the floor to columns in the walls until foundation; Horizontal load is conducted from floor slabs to walls, together withstood by columns and skins covered on the walls. This web-steel structure system is honored with lots of advantages, such as firm steadiness, good performance of seismic resistant, high industrialization producing, short period for constructing, high rate of reutilization, effective insulation to heat and sound, low cost of manufacture, etc. The system was widely applied since it has been introduced to our country from Canada in 2004.Web-steel structure, however, is still deficient in experimental study partly for the structure's specialty and partly for it just came into China in such short time, as a result, there isn't any available software which can be used to design web-steel structure and give the construction drawing. Besides, it also directly prevents the promotion of web-steel structure in our country. Therefore, the author designs and analyses the web-steel structure buildings by using SAP2000, then the drawing of construction can be shown through reading files in the model of SAP2000 by using text-produced web-steel structure drawing system. The achievement from the paper has a lot of practical value for web-steel structure's design.The specific steps are as follow:(1) Make a comparison of features between some functions of several secondary developments tools for AutoCAD. Combing to the features of secondary development, the author chooses Visual LISP as tool.(2) Introduce how to design web-steel structure building by using SAP2000, and further put forward the recommendable type of pieces at first design.(3) Secondarily develop AutoCAD, set up a drawing system which can draw the plane of web-steel structure buildings based on the files with the model of SAP2000 and elevation structure drawing of walls. The system can undertake the main construction drawing work of web-steel structures.(4) Take a project as an example. The project is designed and calculated by SAP2000 and uses this drawing system, in other words, using text-produced web-steel structure drawing system and giving plane of buildings and elevation drawing of walls.
