Serious environmental problems hinder the development of human and the healthy urbanization. Mankind is looking for the proper way to maintain healthy environment at the same time of making social and economical progress. Gradually, people found that Urban and Rural GreenSpace Network can relief the environmental pressures and it plays important role in keeping proper ecologcal functions. Urban and Rural GreenSpace Network has many significant ecological functions, such as protection of water sources, control dust and reduce noises, maintaining balance of carbon-oxygen, carbon fixation and oxygen release and so on. We try to maximize its ecological effects by sound planning and rational design of Urban and Rural Green Space Network, and we hope we can quantify the ecologcial effects and use it to instruct urban planing, green space network planning, ecological system planning and regional planning. As a result, the quantification of green space network's ecologcial effects seem a important research. Now, there are several ways to judge ecological effects throughout the world:method of mensuration, method of substitution, method of certain ecological determinant, method of ecologcial index. Based on the understanding of existing methods, This paper aim to define ecological effects by telling the differences between ecologcial benefits and ecological effects and lie ecologcial effects on the concern of macroscopic view of ecologcial system. This paper try to position ecological effects as the rational complementary part of research of ecological benefits. Because the root of ecological benefits is human's own benefits of ecological system, the research of ecological effects which lies on the whole system and all creatures on this planet seems necessary. This paper chose three fields in FengTai District of Beijing. Softwares such as GIS and Frastates are used to measure several landscape index of each of these field. Grapy theory and landscape index are combined to judge the relationship of green lands'ecological effects and its landscape pattern. This paper try to instruct rational planning rules by the measurement of ecological effects.
