| Truss plate is the most special connector in timber structure, the truss plate connection is one of the main connection in light wood frame, so the determination of truss plate propertie is very important for popularizing modern timber structure. Combining the trend of the nationalization of timber structure, study the performance of metal-plate-connected tension-splice joint in domestic larch dimension lumber, and empolder domestic truss plate.According to GB50005-2003,this study test four standard modes of connections, and discuss failure modes of joint. Aiming at metal-plate-connected joint which load parallel to truss plate length and grain, study the effect of plate length, plate width,tooth length,angle between load and truss plate length,wood density on metal-plate-connected joint behavior. This study establish metal-plate-connected tension-splice joint emprical formula based on Foschi equation.Use domestic zinc coated steel to manufacture three kinds of domestic truss plate, and test their behavior.The results showed that:he ultimate bearing capacity and design value of truss plate joint is determined according to the tests results. The length of plate affected the modes of failure, but the effect of plate width on the modes of failure was not surprising. The length of plate may or may not affect the behavior, depending on the mode of failure.The ultimate load increased linearly with increasing plate width. The ulimate strength of the joint was the biggest, when angle was 0°.Plate size and position of plate have influence on the stiffness of tension-splice joint. But the influence which wood density effect on joint behavior is not unification, depending on the size of plate and the mode of failure. Foschi equation have good applicability on showing metal-plate-connected tension-splice joint behavior, and making the tangent on maximum load has the best effect to define the parameter of Foschi equation. Domestic truss plate meet the requirement of volume production, but the bearing capacity and stiffness of domestic truss plate joint are less than inward truss plate, domestic truss plate need to adjust the processing technic. |
