| Punched metal plate fasteners are developed on the basis of the nail connector. They are widely used in the joint of light wood truss and tensile bars, with diverse forms, facility in bearing load, economical and environmental protection, etc. In our country, with the increase of the amount of wood frame house, metal plate requirement is growing in quantity. Studies of metal plate connection performance are important to the development of timber structure of China.In this paper, according to the metal plate test requirement of the Chinese Code for design of timber structures, did the tensile test of metal plate joints under different angle between load direction and principal axis of metal plate, obtained ultimate bearing capacity and slip bearing capacity of metal plates and recorded the displacement and load under the different angle before destroying. Brought the load-deformation relationship into the constitutive relations of dimension lumber, then built appropriate model and compiled wood truss calculation program by using finite element method and matrix displacement method on Fortran. Considering the slip relationship of the special angle factor of metal plate connector in the model, internal force of bar, deformation of wood truss and slip volume of metal plate had been obtained by program calculation. |
