First, the terms on tortional control in irregular structure are summarized between different codes at home and abroad in this paper, and also conduct a comparison and analysis. The origins of accidental eccentricity are detailed exploded. The relationships between coupling,non-coupling period ratio and the eccentricity of the structure are discussed, finding some useful illuminations. Second, the irregular high-rise buildings which the plane is L shape are carried on dynamic time-history analysis through the ANSYS analysis software. The entire displacement acceleration are measured and the process of shear change about some special column components are also obtained through input different seismic waves, and the anti-seismic properties of the structure is analyzed according to the frame structure which the plane is L shape.Third, the Push-over analysis method was carried on the irregular high-rise buildings which the plane was L shape through different using and loading directions of lateral load,so the relationship between basement-shear and summit-displacement through expanding Push-over analysis in ETABS are obtained. At last, the structure could be carried on the further capacity spectrum analysis through the introduction of performance based seismic design. The general capacity spectrum has certain limitation to the irregular structure that causing torsional response under earthquake. In here, the paper proposed modified method that could avoid complex dynamic time-history analysis, and obtained satisfactory results. The structure that the plane is L shape has great torsion effect and some components have complex stress, which reflects its weakness as a whole and it need to be reinforced.
