In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s economy, especially the rapid development of the construction industry in recent ten years, everyone on the construction of the function and appearance have higher requirements. Building that unique shape and complex space began to appear, the structure’s layout of this building are often complex and irregular. With high strength material development, especially the appearance of high strength steel, greatly promoted the development of the complex and irregular structure, make more and more complex and irregular structure become possible.Specification have no more detailed explanation for complex and irregular structure,It brought a lot of difficulties for the analysis of complex structure and irregular, especially the analysis of seismic performance,often need to carry on special analysis and research. With the rapid development of modern finite element software, and it is widely used in the calculation and analysis of complex and irregular structure,great convenience for seismic analysis of such structures.This paper refer to the relevant literature, briefly introduces the development of the steel structure,the complex and irregular building and seismic theory. It takes a irregular inclined column steel frame structure in Chongqing as the research object, using 3D3 S finite element model for the preliminary design of the structure.Using sap2000 to check the results of design and analysis of seismic structure. Through independent structural design and related analysis, to achieve proficiency in the use of specification and design software to complete the complex design and analysis of anti seismic structure of the objective, and hope to provide valuable reference for the engineering design and similar structure engineering.The specific work of this paper are as follows:(1) According to the structural data of practical engineering project provides the structure modeling and the use does not change under the guarantee of redesigning the structure by using 3D3 S software. At the same time using sap2000 to to conduct a review of the model,verify its correctness, formulate corresponding seismic performance objectives according to the situation of structure.(2)Carrying on modal analysis of the structure, obtaining some basic structural performance parameters such as cycle、vibration mode by modal analysis, further analysis to understand the vibration characteristics of the structure, we can qualitatively judge the response of the structure, so as to provide the basis for the following analysis and calculation.(3)Using the modal decomposition response spectrum method and Elastic time history analysis method to analysis the response of the structure under frequently occurred earthquake,obtaining the interlayer displacement, interstory drift, interlaminar shear force and base shear, Selecting three seismic waves according to the specification when the elastic time history analysis, comparative and analysis the results of the two methods,verifying the analysis results whether meet the specification requirements, and choosing the larger results to design structure.(4)Carrying on pushover analysis and elastic-plastic time history analysis under rarely occurred earthquake, obtaining structure’s deformation and stress to judge the seismic performance of the structure under the big earthquake,on whether it meets the setting target of seismic performance, find out the weakness layer or the weak parts of the structure according to the analysis results, comparative the results of the two methods to verify the reliability of the results, and check whether the deformation meet the specification requirements.
