Research On The Transformation Of Urban Village In Process Of Urbanization

City is the result of development of human society. Therefore, urbanization is a consequence of productivity improvement and social progress. City has been on the rapid development pace with the development of science and technology in industrial society, the improvement of population in urban areas, the increase of land requirement as well as dense population.The population and urban encroachment has been risen promptly because of the acceleration period of urbanization. Villages in urban-rural fringe have become a part of city in the process of city expansion. Most of the ground in villages before has been occupied by newly-built urban areas. As a result, villagers with farmer status are not do farm works at all. Urban village differs greatly from city in management and public service level which include household register, land property, administrative plan, public facilities, education and environmental health. Therefore, a phenomenon described as city not city and village not village has occurred.With the rapid urbanization development in Baoding city, the question of urban village has come into focus. Urban village which is not like traditional villages and modern cities doesn't consistent with city surrounded it on the basis of human landscape, economic system and social engineering. The contradictions between them are becoming increasingly acute. Due to problems including dirty environment, lack of public facilities and traffic jam, urban village, it becomes a most important element to condition the city development. Therefore, questions of how to use lands intensively and how to rebuild urban village efficiently will be a serious reality upon us. They are also difficult problems which worth our researches.In this article, it summarizes the rebuilding theory of city and urban village nationwide and worldwide and analyzed relevant samples and experiences in it. It take Bao ding city for example, has primarily analyzed the reason for urban village existing, negative impact of urban village and the importance of urban village rebuilding. So general and regular characters of urban village development in Bao ding city has been made in this summary. Focused on the rebuilding of key projects and relations among them, it suggests some rebuilding strategies for urban village in Bao ding on the basis of previous rebuilding model. In the matter of fact, it also has reference value for urbanization and city problem in other cities in China.
