Researches On The Relationship Between Traditional Dwellings Architecture Of Guanzhong Area And Folk Culture

Guanzhong is located in the mid of Shaanxi province, in the middle of the plateau of the northern Shaanxi and the Qinling mountain, which have the best natural condition and have the reputation of "800 miles of Qin Chuan" since the ancient time. The typical culture of guanzhong gives birth to the guanzhong medieval houses,which have the farming civilization features. These traditional residential building is the material carrier of the guanzhong folk culture. The layout,architectural shapes, the compound composition and the decorative elements and so on, all of these contains splendid traditional folk culture, are continuations and accumulation of the traditional culture.In this paper, i mainly study the district of guanzhong, and make the traditional residential architecture and traditional folk culture as the specific research objects. Traditional folk culture affects all aspects of residential buildings and its rich content have an enormous effect on all aspects of the traditional houses. At fist, this paper analyzed the development and classification of traditional folk culture, the existential method and value of existence in the residential areas. And then, summarized the influences of folk culture on it through analyzing the layout of the plane off in the residential areas, analyzed the decorative arts in which as to explored the inner cultural connotation. Finally, summed up the relationship of the traditional folk culture and traditional residential architecture, which is interdependent, reinforcing mutually, develops together and indispensable. Therefore, in the process of protecting the guanzhong traditional houses, it is essential to protect the immovable residential buildings, and take measures to protecte and encourage the folk culture and folk activities which exists in the residential premises, thus the meaning of protection can be more complete.
