Safety is the basic condition of the economic development and political stability, it has also be the basic guarantee to develop productive forces and promote the sustained development of economy. Although China regards highly about the safety of construction and many construction companies also have done a lot of work about safety, the diversity of the project, the complexity of the environment and a variety of defects in the safety technology and safety management at this stage, managing of the equipment in a safe way and educating staff security rules cannot be ignored. Therefore, how to do well in construction process security work is the most important thing.This paper has started from the hazard analysis, using a systemic and scientific analysis method to study all the five aspects:operation person factor,building material,construction machinery and equipment,techniques and technology,construction management and working environment. This paper mainly studies the following aspects:(1) The author makes a systemic analysis of building construction safety. Basing on causing-accident theory, the author analyses the factors that affect the construction safety and studies the specific safety measures of the construction processes combining the practical situation at the construction site. Try to discuss the specific tasks of the construction safety of all the companies.(2) The fault tree analysis is a very effective tool in the identification of construction hazard. In this paper, the author uses the "high-altitude falling accident" as an example, using fault tree analysis method to construct risk analysis work. Its analysis prosess and results can be carried out in the precaution and simple pre-control of the accident and the making of the safety measures, as well as providing a reference model of qualitative analysis of other accidents in the future.(3) Refer to the references that related to the safety evaluation and survey the on-site, also consult experts in the construction. We should consider the influences of safety from five aspects such as:human,material,machine,method and environment, in order to set up a safety evaluation index system. According to the specific situation of the project, we should evaluate the security status of construction project by using the FCE method and use of AHP method to evaluate the five indicators and subdivided into three levels and 19 sub-indicators. Try to use MATLAB analysis software to obtain the indicators of the specific weight of each index and finally build the AHP-FCE-based construction safety situation evaluation model.(4) Taking the "Ivy Garden" high-rise residential project.as an engineering example, the relevant project data can be obtained by field survey and expert consultation. The construction status of the project has been evaluated by using the index system and evaluation model, and the result of the evaluation generally correspond with the actual situation. Finally, make an analysis and judgement of the results, do safety measures and carry out the next rectification work.
